2023 Virtual Conference: Social Security's Rules of Conduct

Social Security's Rules of Conduct and Standards of Responsibility

Presented by: Jennifer Cronenberg; Laura Beth Waller

Social Security’s rules of conduct were updated in 2018, and they differ from the standard ethics rules for attorneys. This session will review all sections of the rules, providing background, context, and real-world examples. It will discuss what representatives must do as well as what they must not do when representing claimants before Social Security, at all stages of the administrative process.

This course was originally submitted for credit as part of a live Virtual Conference and may be eligible for self-study credit. For more information about submitting for self-study credit, please consult with your State Bar Association.
